Jazz in the Park takes place during July and August and rotates among three of the city's parks, Stagecoach Park, Calaveras Hills Park, and Magee Park (This is very close to Beach Terrace Inn)

Carlsbad is the location of one of the largest street faires in the state of California. On the first Sunday in May and the first Sunday in November, about ten of the city blocks are closed down for a massive one day street fair. The event runs from 8 AM to 5 PM, with food, fun, and plenty of shopping. Come early and avoid the crowds.

Carlsbad is the home of Legoland California. This attraction opened in March of 1999 and is geared to children 3 - 14 and their families. It is an interactive park where children and there parents can PLAY together. This is not a high impact park and is the only such theme park in the United States.
